Chad Miller enjoys eating meals with his wife and kids. Yet, there are certain days where he would love to take his wife out to dinner without needing a babysitter or finding a restaurant that had a kid’s menu. His kids, ages 7 and 5, are picky eaters and if the restaurant doesn’t chicken nuggets they won’t want to eat there. At work Chad heard the same type of feedback. One of his co-workers joked that it would be amazing if there was a restaurant with a kid’s section. Even though his colleagues were laughing at that idea, Chad felt like he had a new calling in life.
The Restaurant The Whole Family Can Agree On
After going through a few restaurants model programs, Chad felt like his idea would really take off. So with that, he reached out to his friend, Kyle, who is in business development. They worked on a few blueprints and decided to pursue this very unique restaurant idea. They kept the plans very close to the vest and wanted to surprise their friends and family. The restaurant was going to be half kids area and the other half would be casual dinning that is perfect for parents. The more and more things were getting put into place, the better Chad felt about his idea. He was hoping that his wife would appreciate the restaurant and could be something they could pass down to their kids later on in life.
Miller Time Is A Success
Chad and Kyle decided to go with Miller Time as the name of the restaurant. They first brought their wives and kids to the restaurant to test out the menu and amenities. Both families loved Miller Time. They food was great. In addition, the kids had an amazing time watching their favorite movies and running around the play area.
The adults enjoyed a relaxing dinner together and didn’t have to speed through dinner since their kids were bored. A few weeks later Miller Time was open to the public. To Chad and Kyle’s surprise, reservations were booked three months in advance. Word got around the local area saying that Miller Time is the ultimate destination for families to have a dinner that everyone would enjoy. Chad told the local news station that he know families will go to the traditional spots since they can enjoy a meal together. Miller Time is there for when you can’t get a babysitter or for when kids just want to have chicken nuggets with their friends while playing games together.
