About Cliff Avril
Cliff was drafted by the Detroit Lions in the third round in the 2008 NFL Draft. He has played in 73 career games and amassed 163 tackles, 39.5 sacks and 12 passes defensed. Cliff Avril started the Cliff Avril Family Foundation in March 2014. Inspired by the loss of his grandmother and his mother’s diagnosis of diabetes, Cliff realized the importance of educating today’s youth about healthy living. The Cliff Avril Family Foundation mission is to increase the awareness of Type 2 diabetes in youth. His foundation encourages healthy living through nutrition and exercise. The foundation provides educational support and opportunities to youth in Haiti. Cliff’s foundation helps out various community-based organizations in Jacksonville, Seattle and Charlotte.
