Collector of The Week – Classic Monsters Movie Collection

A new week means a new post for Collector of the Week here at The Art of Fatherhood. As a fellow geek and collector of all things Pop Culture I wanted to showcase some cool collections that dads share in our community. We love to see this passion in what people collect. In addition, we talk about the latest movies, sports memorabilia, a Classic Monsters Movie collection and video games that we are enjoying at the moment.

This Week’s Collector – Classic Monsters Movie Collection

This week’s collector is from Geoff. Geoff was excited to show his kids these movies.

My kids were watching Friday the 13th when I came home from work. I said to them that they picked a great movie. After the movie was over I told them that my love for monsters and horror films came from watching horror movies with my grandma. She loved the classic monsters and when I visited her in the summer, we would watch them all. She gave me a few of her VHS tapes. I showed them to my kids and had to explain the time they were made, they were considered scary. They laughed at that notion, but did appreciate what these movies meant to me.

Thanks for sharing your collection Geoff. It is very fitting to showcase your collection this time of the year.

Whatcha Got?

It can be comic books, bottle caps, records, helmets or whatever you are into! I want to see what your passion is and why you started up that collection. For me, I believe that in each collection lies a better story. I want to share your story! Feel free to reach out to me and share your collection.  In addition, if you enjoyed this post check out another Collector of the Week article.
