A new week means a new post for Collector of the Week here at The Art of Fatherhood. As a fellow geek and collector of all things Pop Culture I wanted to showcase some cool collections that dads share in our community. We love to see this passion in what people collect. We talk about the latest movies, sports memorabilia, a Back To The Future collection, comic books and video games that we are enjoying at the moment.
This Week’s Collector – Great Scott, Check Out This Back To The Future Collection
This week’s collection is from Graham. I have known him for years now. He is a great guy, but an even better dad. He has a passion for the Back to the Future movie franchise. Graham is a talented artist, graphic designer and director. Here is what he shared about his collection.
“I’m Graham, I’m 46 years old, and Back to the Future is the greatest film ever made. I’ll fight you on this point. This photo shows more of a shrine than a collection! It’s a few select pieces from a much larger pool. I have the hat and shoes from BTTF2, unfortunately no power laces, but they do light up. The large Delorean is the Playmobil model, which I think is one of the nicest out there. Two Lego Brickheadz stand at the back in front of some Biff Tannen casino playing cards, and right at the front is an old die-cast Delorean which has some custom 3D printed flame trails, made by my son.I haven’t used the Almanac to make any money, but when I do, I’ll get a full size Delorean for my driveway. That would be the crown of the collection!”
Thanks Graham for sharing your collection. I love the fact that your son made you the flame marks out of his 3D printer for your collection!
Whatcha Got?
It can be comic books, bottle caps, records, helmets or whatever you are into! I want to see what your passion is and why you started up that collection. For me, I believe that in each collection lies a better story. I want to share your story! Feel free to reach out to me and share your collection. If you enjoyed this post check out another Collector of the Week article.
I enjoyed reading the part where his son made the flames from a 3d printer.
