Fun Holiday Activities You Can Do With Friends And Family 

Kids can’t wait to be off from school for holiday break. The shine of being off from school can fade pretty quickly. Some of your kid’s friends might be away which will cause boredom to seep into your house. They will be telling you how bored they are and you start to scramble for ideas to cure that issue. If you are looking for something different to do with your kids this holiday break here are few ideas that might work for you and your family. 

Go On A Holiday Lights Tour 

Take a walk or drive with your family and show them some of the best-lit houses in town. In addition ask them which is their favorite and why. Play some holiday music on your ride. Pack a Thermos of hot chocolate and some holiday cookies as a snack. This is a great way to get out of the house, spend quality time and get the conversations going with your family. 

Pay It Forward

This time of the year is a great way to share with your family what you are most thankful for. You can also pay it forward. Send a bit of holiday joy to a soldier stationed overseas by having your kids make a few holiday cards. Before the kids get new toys, have them go through their room and pick out items to give to a child who could use the comfort of a new toy. Gather up the selected toys and donate them.

Make Your Own Ornaments 

One of the great ways to spend time together is by creating your own ornaments. This activity will create lasting memories. Plus, you can use those ornaments year after year, and will spark up some great conversations of past holidays. Create ornaments out of cinnamon sticks, popsicle sticks or whatever you have around the house.

My kids have made some special dinners for me and my wife over the past few years. They would create a theme and set up a fun date night for my wife and I.
