New Year’s Eve is a tough holiday when you are a parent. What should you do? Should you stay in? Is there a place that is kid friendly? How late do you and your family stay up that night? Plus, as your kids get older there are different shows that they want to watch and you have no interest in watching it. The typical countdown shows are filled with people you have no clue who they are. You want to celebrate the new year with your family, but how do you enjoy the holiday that everyone will enjoy? I say that you should ask your kids for help. My daughters put together a very cool New Year’s Eve party. We invited our framily over to hang out with us for a Happy Clue Year.
What Is Happy Clue Year?
My daughters came up with a Clue theme party for the holiday. They decorated the house that was influenced by the board game, Clue. They told all of us to dress up and gave us character names from the game. Everyone that was at the party did a fantastic job with their outfits. We went back to the 1950’s and were ready to solve the mystery of who committed the crime. My daughters came up with different roles that we had to play. They put each character’s role on pieces of paper and folded the roles into a basket. We each took a piece of paper and learned what we needed to do for that game. We had some much fun walking around interacting with each other to solve the murder. It was a fun way to celebrate.
Other Games And Activities
Besides playing a live version of the game Clue, we also played other games like Mafia to go along with the theme. We had a nice dinner together and finished the night with some desserts and cheering in the new year. If you are looking for a fun way to celebrate next New Year’s Eve I suggest you talk to your whole family and come up with some ideas for a party that every family member will love. This New Year’s Eve party is one that I will remember for a long time. I hope that 2025 is a year that is filled with hope, promise and success for all of you!
This is so lovely. It is so nice to see a family have fun together like this!
Thank you, Debbie. We had a blast.
