These dads and sons have all made it to the highest level in professional basketball by playing in the NBA. Dell, Steph & Seth Curry
Dell, Steph, and Seth Curry are a basketball family where Dell is a former NBA player. His sons Steph and Seth are both current professional players, renowned for their sharpshooting abilities. Dell had a 16-year career, playing 10 seasons with the Charlotte Hornets, and holds their all-time scoring record. Steph, is the older son and a superstar player for the Golden State Warriors, widely considered one of the greatest shooters in NBA history. Also, Seth led the league in three-point percentage, a feat his father achieved in 1999. He recently joined his brother on the Golden State Warriors.
Gary Payton and Gary Payton II
Gary Payton and Gary Payton II are a dad-and-son duo who played in the NBA. The former NBA player great, Gary Payton Sr. played for 17 seasons, retiring in 2007. Gary Payton II, who was undrafted in 2016, is a guard currently playing for the Golden State Warriors. Payton Sr. is a 17-year NBA veteran known for his defensive skills, he won the NBA Defensive Player of the Year award in the 1995-96 season. In addition, his son is known for being a great defensive player as well.
Bill and Luke Walton
Bill and Luke Walton are a father-son duo in the basketball world. The father, Bill is a Hall of Fame player and Luke is a former player and coach. They are the first father-son pair to both win multiple NBA championships. Bill was a standout player known for his time at UCLA . In addition, he played in the for Portland Trail Blazers and Boston Celtics. Luke carved out his own NBA career. He was a point-forward for the Lakers and later became a coach for the Warriors, Lakers, and Kings.
Rick and Brent Barry
Rick and Brent Barry are a famous father-son duo in the NBA, with Rick being a Hall of Famer and Brent being a two-time NBA champion. Brent, who is Rick’s third son, won championships with the San Antonio Spurs in 2005 and 2007, becoming the second father-son pair to win titles as players. Both had long, successful careers, with Rick being an NBA scoring champion and Brent being a former NBA slam dunk champion and a proficient three-point shooter
