This week for the These Dads Are Doing It Right series I want to put the spotlight on great dad and son duos in NASCAR. Both drivers made a name for themselves in the world of racing. Great Dad & Son Duos In NASCAR

Lee, Richard & Kyle Petty
The Petty family is pretty much NASCAR royalty. The first driver, Lee Petty laid down the foundation for greatness in racing. He was followed by one of the most notable drivers in all of NASCAR history, Richard Petty. Richard known as The King, won seven Cup Titles. Dale Earnhardt & Dale Earnhardt Jr.
“The Intimidator” and his beloved son “Junior” combined for over 100 Cup Series wins, making them arguably NASCAR’s most famous father-son duo. Dale Earnhardt Sr. is a 7-time NASCAR champ. Dale Earnhardt Jr. was a popular driver and now a team owner and broadcaster. The Earnhardts have a special place in the NASCAR history and with fans of the sport.

Bill & Chase Elliott
Bill and Chase Elliott are a legendary father-son NASCAR duo. The father, Bill is a Hall of Famer and 1988 Cup Series champ known as “Awesome Bill.” In addition, his son Chase, a current Cup Series star for Hendrick Motorsports, 2020 champion, and frequent winner, both famous for their Dawsonville roots, immense popularity, and shared success, with Bill even spotting for Chase during his first Cup win.

Ned & Dale Jarrett
Ned and Dale Jarrett are fan favorite NASCAR father-son duo. The dad, Ned Jarrett is a two-time champ and broadcaster. His son, Dale Jarrett is a 1999 Cup champ and a Daytona 500 winner. They are known for their racing careers and iconic broadcast moments, especially Dale’s Daytona 500 wins with his father calling the action in the booth, creating unforgettable family moments in NASCAR history.
