About Connor Barwin
Connor Barwin and his mom Margaret founded the Make The World Better Foundation (MTWB) in 2013 during his first season playing for the Philadelphia Eagles. They later teamed up with Jeffrey Tubbs, founder of Philly-based youth mentor org Urban Roots, whose track record of responsible, environmentally sustainable, and inclusive real estate projects made him a great choice to become a Co-Founding Member of MTWB. Make The World Better connects people and inspires stewardship through public space revitalization projects. MTWB believes that communities prosper when all people have access to high-quality public spaces that provide safe outlets for recreation, sports, and arts-based activities.
Connor Barwin is part of the Philadelphia Eagles’ football operations department. During the 2024 offseason, he was promoted to head of football development and strategy. Barwin enjoyed a 10-year playing career that included four seasons in Philadelphia. Originally selected by the Houston Texans in the second round of the 2009 NFL Draft, Barwin played in 142 career regular-season games and registered 56.5 sacks.
