Dad Grinds Up Fruits & Veggies And Creates First Ever Healthy Sprinkles

Breakfast, lunch and dinner was extremely frustrating for the parents in the Tillman Family. Justin Tillman, who is the dad, hated every moment of prepping food for his kids. His kids, who are six and four years old, would throw a tantrum every time they saw fruits or veggies on their plates. He would ask his friends and his kids’ pediatrician for advice. Every piece of advice would not help one iota. Justin knew that some of his friends would deal with something similar, but at least his friend’s kids would eat a handful of fruits or vegetables. Justin felt like a bad father. He wants his kids to enjoy food, but everything can’t be made of sugar. He needed to think of something where his kids would get some nutrients in their meals.

How To Get His Kids Fruits And Veggies

There were times at night where Justin would lay in bed trying to come up with ways for his kids to eat healthy foods. Sneaking fruits and vegetables in other foods would not work. Heck, even making them delicious smoothies was a no go. To make matters even worse, his kids wouldn’t eat any vitamins even if they looked like candy. “Nothing! And I mean nothing is working!” Justin would tell his friends. After all avenues seemed exhausted, Justin saw something that would change his life forever. One night while he and his family were over at a friend’s house, they were enjoying an ice cream bar. Justin observed his kids go crazy over the sprinkles that were part of the ice cream bar. With nothing else to lose, he had one more idea to try to get his kids to eat their fruits and veggies.

Healthy Sprinkles?

As Justin’s kids topped their ice cream sundaes with loads of sprinkles, he wondered if he could make healthy sprinkles. He shared the idea with his wife, but she had some doubts. How would he be able to get his kids to eat something that was healthy even if it was disguised as sprinkles. In addition, could he ever get healthy food into a sprinkle form? She had her doubts. That was until Justin created the first ever healthy sprinkles. He mashed and blended different types of fruits and vegetables. He freeze dried them and created a little larger than normal sized sprinkles. Justin created a few sprinkle jar labels with his Photoshop skills. He put the containers in the pantry and waited.

One day his kids stumbled upon the new sprinkles. They opened up the containers and tried them. They must have loved them because they kept on taking more handfuls. Justin stopped them saying they can’t keep eating junk food knowing full well that they were finally eating good food! His kids said that they would stop. As Justin left the kitchen he had a big smile on his face knowing that his kids finally got to eat their fruits and veggies!
