This week’s for the Dads Doing It Right series I want to highlight some dads who are so corny. I am not making fun of them. These dads have a podcast called Corny Dads. Corny Dads showcase modern fatherhood. They bring awareness to fatherhood and providing guidance to other men. They are legit dads, but do “Corny” stuff for their dope kids! Dennis Davis
Dennis is a Corny Dad! he’s an experienced inspirational leader, youth mentor, certified Yoga instructor. Driven by results, he takes pride in seeing gifts in people who cannot see it in themselves. As an Inspirational leader, his goals include discovering, cultivating, and directing these gifts to specific needs in communities who need them. Dennis spends much time reflecting by way of meditation, studying and identifying where he could sharpen his craft and maybe the biggest task of them all is learning how to become a better father to three of the most precious beings in his life, his three children.
Osner Charles
Osner is a father of one but a mentor to many. At a young age, Osner experienced first-hand the need for a stronger academic support system, recognizing early the correlation between socioeconomic status and academic achievement. A passionate public servant, Osner works tirelessly to ensure that all people have access to quality education, healthy food services, and diverse and enriching extra-curricular activities.
C.J. Harris
C.J. is an experienced well-rounded professional with a demonstrated history of working in the higher education Industry. Skilled in Nonprofit Organizations, Analytical Skills, Coaching, Event Management, Small Business Development, and Management. Strong community and social services professional with a Bachelor of Science (BS) focused on Psychology/Criminal Justice from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania. He spends a lot of time doing corny things for/with his dope kids. Corny things range from reading to editing videos for their YouTube channel.
Alan Mentor
Alan a father of two children born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. A First-generation Haitian American growing up with strong Haitian grassroots parenting. The nuclear family was a pivotal formation of his family dynamic. Alan navigated through the melting pot of NYC gaining the insight and experience of different cultures and their outlook on life. In his off time. He’s an ever-growing family man and prides himself on “Trying to figure out this thing called life.”
