This week for the These Dads Are Doing It Right series I want to highlight an organization called The Fatherhood Institute. The Fatherhood Institute is a UK charity working to build a society that values, prepares, and supports men as involved fathers and caregivers. Dr. Jeremy Davies
Jeremy leads their communications and policy influencing work. In addition, he manages funded research and impact projects. Plus he leads their impact collaborations with universities and other partners; develops evidence-based resources for specialist and lay audiences; writes funding bids; and is our main press contact. He joined the Fatherhood Institute in 2006. Jeremy has a Masters in Research, completed a PhD about gay fathers’ paternal experiences and practices, and is a former journalist.
Andrew Baud
Andrew, father of five, is founder and CEO of TALA, a fast-growing public relations agency. He is also a trustee of a young people’s mental health charity and chair of a project to create a memorial to frontline journalists. Andrew looks to aid by building a society that systematically supports men as actively involved, caring fathers.
Yusuf Chadun
Yusuf is a father and co-parents his three children. To help new working parents, he started a flexible nursery with a co-working space. He looks to help men to receive the support they need to care for, and spend time with, their children. In addition he helps share ways for them to play their part in supporting their health, learning, and development.
Jack O’Sullivan
Jack is a father and stepfather for three young people. A co-founder of the Fatherhood Institute. In addition, he wrote He’s Having a Baby – the BBC Guide to Fatherhood. Plus, he launch-edited ‘Dad’, Britain’s first consumer magazine for fathers, created by FI. He currently develops think-tanks in research institutions.
