A new week means a new post for Collector of the Week here at The Art of Fatherhood. As a fellow geek and collector of all things Pop Culture I wanted to showcase some cool collections that dads share in our community. We love to see this passion in what people collect. We talk about the latest movies, sports memorabilia, a Star Wars cosplay collection, comic books and video games that we are enjoying at the moment.
This Week’s Collector – A Rebellious Cosplay Star Wars Collection
This week’s collection is from the Perales Family. I met them when I was doing a review of the Star Wars Galactic Star Cruiser. They are an awesome family who has a passion for Star Wars. They are kind people who enjoy Star Wars costumes and cosplay. Here is what they had to say about their collection.
As costumers/cosplayers The real prizes of our collection are our helmets and lightsabers. The helmets are all assembled/painted by us. Finishing these pieces and wearing them to bring that last piece of a character to life makes each one really special. And since we are Star Wars Rebels focused the custom paint jobs really make them! So many details and colors to set them apart from the usual blank paint jobs! Our lightsabers are custom and well beaten as well! We use them in choreographed shows as a part of Saber Guild and we’ve put a lot of love and sweat into each of them.
Thanks for sharing Perales Family. The collection is legit. I love the passion you all have for Star Wars. Make sure you check out their podcast, Rogue Rebels Podcast and their site The Rogue Rebels HERE.
Whatcha Got?
It can be comic books, bottle caps, records, helmets or whatever you are into! I want to see what your passion is and why you started up that collection.
