A new week means a new post for Collector of the Week here at The Art of Fatherhood. As a fellow geek and collector of all things Pop Culture I wanted to showcase some cool collections that dads share in our community. We talk about the latest movies, sneakers, comic books, and video games that we are enjoying at the moment.
This Week’s Collector – Art Eddy – Star Wars Kicks
This week we are putting the spotlight on me! From time to time I will share a few items of my different collections. This one is focuses on my Star Wars sneakers.
I have loved Star Wars since I saw A New Hope as a young kid. Then when The Empire Strikes Back came out I loved the Star Wars universe even more. To this day Empire is my favorite movie. Next up was Return of the Jedi. To see Luke Skywalker become a Jedi Knight and even create a new lightsaber was just pure awesomeness. Fast forward a few years when my family and I lived right outside of Chicago, I started to become a fan of Michael Jordan and the Bulls. Seeing Jordan fly through the air in the hottest sneakers started my journey into becoming a sneakerhead.
Now as an adult these two worlds collide. adidas stared to create a line of Star Wars sneakers. It was a no brainer that I need these kicks in my life. Here are few sneakers from that line. The attention to detail and craftsmanship is legit. The Chewbacca ones are really unique.
