Dan Issel stops by to talk to me about his fatherhood journey. He shares the values that were passed down to him by his parents that he and his wife, Cheri instilled into their kids. About Dan Issel
Dan Issel is a former professional basketball player and coach. He remains the all-time leading scorer for the University of Kentucky men’s basketball program, where he earned All-American honors twice, broke twenty-three school records, and led the Wildcats to three Southeastern Conference titles. In Issel’s professional career in the ABA, he was a six-time All-Star for the Kentucky Colonels. He ranks third on the Denver Nuggets’ all-time scoring list and remains a central figure in the team’s history. Issel returned to the Nuggets for two stints as head coach and also as general manager.
In 1993, he was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. Dan and his wife, Cheri have two kids and grandchildren. Make sure you follow Dan on Twitter over at @DanIssel44.
