Have Peace Of Mind As Your Kids Leave The Nest

When you brought your child home from the hospital it was probably one of the most stressful times for you. You forget the highway and take the long way home. If you were like me, you drove a few miles under the speed limit. As your kids get older, you put up gates and toddler proof the house. You might have overdone it, but your intentions were to keep your kids safe. As a parent you never stop thinking about your child’s safety. What about when they get older? Whether they are leaving the nest for college or moving out on their own, you want to make sure that they are safe. One company that has you and your family’s back is SABRE.

Besides the mini-fridge, meal plan, money for books and supplies; you need to make sure you equip your child with the latest SABRE products. We want our kids to feel confident when they are on their own. Yet as parents, we want to have the peace of mind that if something does go wrong. We want to give our kids have the right tools to keep them safe. There is a pepper gel that is great for walking around campus. It gives your child protection from a distance. For the dorm or apartment there is the door stop alarm. It helps stop doors from opening and emits a loud alarm. Talk To Your Kids About College And Campus Life

Besides using SABRE products, you can help your kids by giving them some safety tips that I learned from SABRE. Once they get to college they should know their way around campus. Your child won’t look lost and they will be able to look out for any threats since they know where they are going. There is strength in numbers. Tell your child to not walk alone if they can help it. If their friend is leaving a party, your child should go with them. Even if they feel at home at school, they should still lock their doors and meet new friends in public places. In addition, have them know what types of shuttles or rides the school provides and what time those services end each day. You want your kid to enjoy their college experience, but you want them to be safe and prepared. SABRE offers a lot of products, tips and services to make sure your child is as safe as they can be.

Please note: I teamed up with SABRE for this post and campaign and was compensated, but my thoughts are my own.

  1. For me as a dad, SABRE pepper spray is a game changer. I not only gave my kids pepper spray when they went off to school, but my wife as well.

  3. My wife likes her SABRE pepper spray because it is light and compact. It fits in her purse and she can carry it when she runs. I feel better knowing she has that when she goes out.
