John Salley Talks Fatherhood, Basketball, Sneakerella & More 

John Salley sits down with me to talk about his fatherhood journey. We talk about the values he looked to instill into his kids and the life lesson they taught him. After that John talks about his role in the new Disney+ movie, Sneakerella. In addition, we talk about his time in the NBA and he shares a very cool story during his time in the league. Lastly, we finish the interview off with the Fatherhood Quick Five.

About John Salley 

No stranger to basketball, John Salley grew up playing in Brooklyn, New York. He accepted a basketball scholarship at Georgia Tech where he played for the legendary Bobby Cremins. Salley then went to become a 15-year NBA legend. He became the first NBA player to win four championships with three different teams. In 2000, Salley retired from basketball and explored opportunities in both film and television. His film credits include Bad Boys 1, Bad Boys 2 and Confessions of a Shopaholic. On the television side, Salley served as the co-host of the Emmy nominated The Best Damn Sports Show Period for seven years. 

Outside of work, Salley is involved with Operation Smile, PETA, the fight against Diabetes, and the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine where he has urged Congress to increase vegetarian options in schools across the country. Therefore, Salley’s main mission is to continue to educate people on the benefits of living a healthier lifestyle through better eating habits.
