This week’s for the Dads Doing It Right series I am showcasing dads who have written books about fatherhood. These dads are sharing their our journey as a dad and each have their own perspective on fatherhood. If there are any other dads that you think we should check out leave their name and info in the comment section below.
Robert Grossfeld – An Honest Book On Fatherhood You Need To Check Out
It’s taken Robert 30 years to write this collection of short stories about his kids and how he managed to survive their childhood. These are everyday life stories that Dad’s seem to connect with. There’s a good amount of humor, because that’s about the only way he found to deal with a tiny daughter who played with the garbage disposal and a pre-teen son’s party I had to police to check on the “close dancing.” But setting his grey hair aside, they taught him how to love and be loved. A Dad can’t ask for more than that. Check out Life With My Kids Dad’s Story here.
Iyke Edward Dike – A Father’s Book On Life and Love
A debutant father shares his story and hilarious tales of his journey to fatherhood. He writes from conception to the cradle. Iyke writes about raising a beautiful girl child; Jayamma is his story of discovery and love for his daughter. You can learn more about Iyke’s story by purchasing his book over at Amazon.
Aric Manly – The Intentional Dad
Aric Manly is the founder of The Intentional Dad. He is an author, teacher, fatherhood coach, and spiritual counselor. Aric is passionate about shepherding men on the journey to gain the skills and heart to embrace and fulfill the promise of fatherhood through life and books. Aric lives in Michigan, is a father of three, and has been married to his best friend, Mary Jo. In addition, he has a Masters degree in Theological Studies. Aric taught elementary age kids (pre-K through 2nd grade) for five years, and offers over two decades of experience as a father and, especially, his family’s experiences in living out a vision for a ten year initiation process for his two sons and daughter. Now he invites men and their families to set out on their own journey with his book.
Josh Turner – Talking Man Stuff
Josh Turner shares fun and meaningful thoughts and personal stories. From his childhood through his adulthood, he is weaving in spiritual insight for men who want to be better dads. He covers a variety of topics such as living and working with integrity, facing your fears. In addition, he talks about surrounding yourself with good company. Plus he believes in trusting God’s plans, and standing up for the least of these topics every man can relate to and draw from for his own spiritual and personal journeys.
