This week for the These Dads Are Doing It Right series I want to showcase NBA Dads. These dads are making a name off the court as well with their foundations. Steph Curry 

Stephen and Ayesha Curry are the co-founders of Eat. Learn. Play. They support children’s well­being through access to nutritious meals. In addition they look to give quality reading resources and opportunities to play and be active­. They feel that everyone deserves the chance to live a happy, healthy childhood. They provide the resources and support kids need to thrive at school and reach their full potential. Eat. Learn. Play. gives access to nutritious food, high-dosage literacy tutoring, and sports. Jayson Tatum 

The mission of the Jayson Tatum Foundation is to positively impact and inspire children, teens and their families. They do this through education, athletics and support, and to encourage them to strive to fulfill their dreams and aspirations. The Foundation is dedicated to offering resources, education, and mentorship opportunities. The Foundation looks to emphasize the importance of rebuilding communities and understanding civic responsibility. Through these efforts, they aim to instill a sense of purpose and leadership in our youth. In addition they are encouraging them to positively impact their peers, neighborhoods, and generation in meaningful and lasting ways. Chris Paul 

The Chris Paul Family Foundation is dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of individuals and families by focusing on education, health & wellness, and leadership. In 2005, Chris and his family established the CP3 Foundation. It is a philanthropic partnership with The Winston-Salem Foundation in honor of his late grandfather, Nathaniel Jones. The foundation was created to highlight Chris’ dedication and love, both to his grandfather’s spirit and to the city of Winston-Salem, NC, for nurturing him from his days as a stand-out high school student-athlete to a national star at Wake Forest University. The Chris Paul Family Foundation will continue to use its platform to impact communities and develop young leaders nationally and globally. 

Al Horford 

Al Horford is extremely involved in the education and activity of young children in both the United States and the Dominican Republic. He has visited countless schools around the country. In addition, he held numerous basketball clinics in Atlanta, and his hometown in Michigan. Plus in his home country of the Dominican Republic. Horford along with the NBA and FIBA held the first Basketball without Borders camp in Santo Domingo. Horford continues to engage in the advancement of children through education and fitness. He continues to work with Dominican Republic officials towards providing Dominican children the best opportunities for schooling and athletics.
