Great NFL Dad & Son Duos

Patrick and Patrick Surtain II

Patrick Surtain and Patrick Surtain II are a father-son duo who both played cornerback in the NFL. The father, Patrick Surtain, Sr., had a successful professional career and later coached his son, Patrick Surtain II, in high school. Following in his father’s footsteps, Patrick Surtain II has surpassed his father’s draft position and has already accumulated numerous accolades in his young career. In 2024, Surtain II became the first cornerback since 2019 to win the AP NFL Defensive Player of the Year award. You can check out my interview with Patrick Surtain here on the Art of Fatherhood podcast.
