These Dads Are Doing It Right – Part 279 – Great Dad & Daughter Duos In Athletics 

This week for the These Dads Are Doing It Right series I am highlighting on some fantastic dad and daughter duos in the sporting world. These dads and daughters not only inspire others, but they will tell you that they inspire each other. Great Dad & Daughter Duos In Sports 

Valeri and Nastia Liukin

Valeri Liukin was a successful Soviet gymnast, winning two Olympic gold and two silver medals in 1988. His daughter, Nastia, moved to the United States and became an Olympic champion herself, winning the coveted all-around gold medal at the 2008 Beijing Games, with her father as her coach.

Duane and Rylie Hall

Duane and Rylie Hall are a father-daughter duo is involved with the Special Olympics. For Duane, his passion is to help out the Special Olympics organization. He has been helping out for more than 30 years. Duane coached and traveled internationally for events. In addition, Rylie is now getting to participate with her partner at the USA Games.

Benji and Harrison

This father-daughter duo competes together in CrossFit, with Harrison considering her father an inspiration while also being a fiercely competitive athlete herself. They compete together in different events. In addition, they inspire each other to keep pushing their limits. Benji started CrossFit about years ago to help manage his blood pressure. Now, Harrison views him as an inspiration. 

Ron and Lindsay Fulop

Ron Fulop has dedicated his time to his daughter, along with several other Special Olympics athletes. Lindsay Fulop is an accomplished Special Olympics athlete and Athlete Leader. Lindsay’s success led to her 2021 induction into the Special Olympics Hall of Fame. She has won gold in golf and swimming. Ron is her caddy for golf and is always there to support her in any sport.
