Guido Orefice – Life Is Beautiful
Guido Orefice is the protagonist of the 1997 film Life Is Beautiful. He is portrayed by Roberto Benigni, who also co-wrote and directed the movie. A Jewish Italian bookshop owner, Guido uses his immense imagination, humor, and love to shield his young son, Giosuè, from the horrors of a Nazi concentration camp by pretending it’s an elaborate game with a tank as the grand prize. In addition, he looks to instill hope into his son.
Daniel Hillard – Mrs. Doubtfire
After losing custody of his three children, Daniel uses his acting skills and a professional prosthetic mask to transform into Mrs. Euphegenia Doubtfire, a stern but lovable Scottish nanny. His primary goal is to spend time with his children, Lydia, Chris, and Natalie, after the court grants him only limited visitation rights. During the film, Daniel starts to become a more responsible father. Therefore he stars to learn what he needs to do as a dad.
Gil Buckman – Parenthood
Steve Martin plays the role of Gil Buckman in Parenthood. This classic film has many funny and caring scenes. Martin does a phenomenal job for showing a more grounded, vulnerable side of fatherhood. Therefore Gil navigates his kids’ anxieties and his own desire to be a better dad than his father was. Gil wants to be there for his kids in so many ways. This role makes dads want to explore their own thoughts on fatherhood.
Dill Penderghast – Easy A
Stanley Tucci is celebrated for his role in Easy A. In this role he is a laid-back, witty, and incredibly supportive father. In the film he is Emma Stone’s dad. Dill was seen as a modern favorite in the film. Fans say he has cool dad energy. In addition, when hard conversations pop up, Dill is written as am insightful parent. Also, he uses humor to navigate serious conversations.
