This week for the These Dads Are Doing It Right series I wanted to share with you some dads who are like people you see in comic books. It is almost like you can call them Dadvengers. From creating groups where you can feel connected or sharing their fatherhood journeys, these dads are doing it right. Nigel Clarke – Dadvengers
The posts on the Dadvengers Dad Blog are there to support fathers on their journey through parenthood. The posts are curated by founder Nigel Clarke and written by dadvengers followers. Therefore, whether you are a father, a mother, a soon to be dad, a grandad, grandma, a carer, a parenting professional, a parenting blogger they want you to get involved. Nigel created a site and community to help all parents. Check out his site here.
Eli Porter-Blake
Eli Porter-Blake is a deaf father and the co-ordinator of the Deaf Fathers Group under Sign for All. It is a group that has been running since 2017. In addition, the deaf fathers group includes workshops once a month for deaf and hearing fathers of deaf children and hearing children. They discuss how to support and guide children. Plus, they also have weekly activities for fathers and children to have fun together.
Eli Williams
Eli Williams is a husband, father and minister. He is the president and cofounder of Urban Light Ministries in Springfield, Ohio. Therefore, ULM provides a weekly after school program that serves 800 children. ULM operates a growing fatherhood program that annually impacts over 500 dads and their kids in the Dayton region. In addition, he is the CEO of Fatherhood Ohio. It is a foundation that raises awareness and funding for fatherhood programs and community mobilization initiatives.
Adrian Mutandwa
For Adrian, being a twin parent is hard enough doing it as a pair. Therefore, waking up that morning realizing that he had now had to go it alone as a single dad left him feeling lost. He knew very early on that the only way he could do this was to let go of hurt and focus on the twins. Adrian is a single dad talking about his journey to help other single dads out there.
