His love for dinosaurs and fatherhood inspired What If Daddy Were a Dinosaur? Therefore it is a book that captures the thrill of childhood imagination and the special connection between parent and child. When he’s not dreaming up prehistoric adventures, Bret enjoys playing anything with his kids. In addition, he loves singing and playing in a band, amateur photography, and gardening. David Ezra Stein received a Caldecott Honor for Interrupting Chicken. He lives in New York City. Large portions of the art for this book were created with a four-and-a-half-year-old child. His child would sit on his lap and a baby wandering the studio floor and gnawing on art supplies. Tad and Dad is a tender tale of a growing tadpole who loves his frog dad. He loves his dad so much he never gives him a moment’s peace.
