Collector of The Week – Minnesota Vikings Starting Lineup Collection 

A new week means a new post for Collector of the Week here at The Art of Fatherhood. As a fellow geek and collector of all things Pop Culture I wanted to showcase some cool collections that dads share in our community. We love to see this passion in what people collect. In addition, we talk about the latest movies, sports memorabilia, a Minnesota Vikings collection and video games that we are enjoying at the moment.

This Week’s Collector – Minnesota Vikings Starting Lineup Collection 

This week’s collector is from Justin. He found his toys from when he was a kid back in the 1980s. He gave his kids his Vikings Starting Lineup collection. 

I brought these back from my storage unit a few weeks back. I showed my kids my old Starting Lineup collections when the Vikings played New York in the playoffs. Unfortunately Minnesota lost, but my kids wanted to keep the players in their rooms. They are excited to have something that I had when I was their age. I saw that they brought back the Starting Lineup series. The sticker shock made me not want to pick them up. I am not gonna pay $50 for those new figures. I am glad that I kept mine. 

Thanks for sharing your collection Justin. I have a few Starting Lineup figures as well. Your story brought me back to the 80s.
