Collector of The Week – NBA Jersey Collection

A new week means a new post for Collector of the Week here at The Art of Fatherhood. As a fellow geek and collector of all things Pop Culture I wanted to showcase some cool collections that dads share in our community. We love to see this passion in what people collect. In addition, we talk about the latest movies, sports memorabilia, an NBA Jersey collection and video games that we are enjoying at the moment.

This Week’s Collector – NBA Jersey Collection

This week’s collector is from Luke. He is sharing his NBA Jersey collection.

I wanted to share with you my NBA jerseys. I loved playing hoops with my friends after school. We would rotate from house to house playing in our own 2-on-2 tournament. We would get jerseys at Marshalls or outlets for cheap prices. After a while of collecting a bunch, we gave some to other kids in our neighborhood. Those kids started playing with us. It was like we created a basketball network. I have so many great memories playing in those jerseys, so I kept them.

Thanks for sharing your collection Luke. Enjoyed your story.

Whatcha Got?

It can be comic books, bottle caps, records, helmets or whatever you are into! I want to see what your passion is and why you started up that collection. For me, I believe that in each collection lies a better story. I want to share your story! Feel free to reach out to me and share your collection.  In addition, if you enjoyed this post check out another Collector of the Week article.

  1. This takes me back! I had a few jerseys myself. Playing hoops in the late 90s with my friends after school was the BEST!
