A new week means a new post for Collector of the Week here at The Art of Fatherhood. As a fellow geek and collector of all things Pop Culture I wanted to showcase some cool collections that dads share in our community. We love to see this passion in what people collect. We talk about the latest movies, sports memorabilia, a Secret Wars collection and video games that we are enjoying at the moment.
This Week’s Collector – Secret Wars Collection
This week’s collector is from Jim. Jim and his kids saw the recent news of the latest upcoming Marvel movies in the MCU. One of those movies was Secret Wars. He showed his kids his Secret Wars comic book collection.
I couldn’t wait to watch the Marvel movies with my kids. As they got older I was introducing them to each one in the theatrical order. We read about the new wave of Marvel movies. When we found out one of them was Secret Wars. I told my kids about the collection I had and showed them my comic collection. They enjoyed the series and we talked about how the movie will portray that storyline. It was such a fun dad moment to see them reading comics I grew up reading when I was their age.
That is a great story Jim. Thank you for sharing. I remember that series. I have the graphic novel. The covers from that series are so iconic.
