Collector of The Week – X-Men Card Collection

A new week means a new post for Collector of the Week here at The Art of Fatherhood. As a fellow geek and collector of all things Pop Culture I wanted to showcase some cool collections that dads share in our community. We love to see this passion in what people collect. We talk about the latest movies, sports memorabilia, an X-Men card collection and video games that we are enjoying at the moment.

This Week’s Collector – X-Men Card Collection

This week’s collector is from me. In the early 90’s I started to get into comic books. I became a big Wolverine and X-Men fan. Jim Lee was the artist for the new Marvel X-Men comic series and a card set back then.

When my family and I moved to New Hampshire in the early 90’s I started to get into comic books. My dad was a comic book collector and he passed down that to me. During that time Marvel did a reboot in some of their popular characters and comic books. One of them was the X-Men series. Jim Lee worked on that series. He is one of my favorite artists. Besides the new comic book series, he did a card series too. So of course I collected that card series since Jim Lee’s work was featured in that series.

I hope you enjoyed my X-Men card collection.

Whatcha Got?

It can be comic books, bottle caps, records, helmets or whatever you are into! I want to see what your passion is and why you started up that collection. For me, I believe that in each collection lies a better story. I want to share your story! Feel free to reach out to me and share your collection.  If you enjoyed this post check out another Collector of the Week article.
