Iconic Album Covers Inspired By Children’s Cartoons

When I was watching a movie with my family recently I saw the main character do a pose that reminded me of a famous album cover. So naturally my mind started to wander about what other family friendly shows could replace some iconic and memorable album covers. As my daughters were enjoying the film I came up with a few ideas of what these albums would look like. Here is my take on what happens when kid cartoon shows invade the world of music. Look out for the next post in this series soon.

Iconic Album And Cartoon Mashups

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles – Appetite for Destruction

One of the most iconic ninja group has to be TMNT. Whether you are reading the gritty original comic book series or the kid friendly cartoon these turtles kick some butt. So I used the Guns N’ Roses Appetite for Destruction album cover to put Splinter, Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo and Raphael on the new take on this album cover. Plus I think we can all agree that Welcome To The Jungle can be used when the turtles are fighting crime.

Doc McStuffins – The Blue Album

Dottie “Doc” McStuffins who decides she wants to become a doctor like her mother, a pediatrician. She practices for her dream job by fixing toys and dolls. The concept of the show is really cool. Back in the day my kids enjoyed watching this show. Doc fixes up toys who get hurt. She takes care of their boo-boos. I thought it would be a fun mash up to have Doc and her crew take over the Weezer’s Blue album to turn it into the Boo-Boo album.

Dora The Explorer – Hard Knock Life

Dora is an adventurous child. She and her friends find treasures and lost items all over. Along the way there are things that get in her way. From grumpy old trolls to a fox looking to swipe all the treasures she found that day. It is definitely a hard knock life for her. I am guessing she has Jay-Z’s Vol 2….Hard Knock Life on her iTunes account for when she is traveling all over the world.
