About Mitch Carr 

Mitch joins NewsNation from KPNX-TV 12News in Phoenix, where he spent three years anchoring weekends and reporting on major events there including the contentious 2020 presidential election, racial justice protests, wildfires, and the real estate market. Prior to Phoenix, Mitch worked as a freelance reporter for WRAL-TV in Raleigh covering the devastating aftermath of Hurricane Florence. His time in Raleigh came after four years as the sports director at WRIC-TV 8News in his hometown, Richmond, Virginia.
