This week for the These Dads Are Doing It Right Series I am showcasing some dads and their families who know how to celebrate Halloween. Whether they are a going as a super hero team or characters from their favorite movie you need to check out these fantastic costumes.
Incredible Halloween Family Costumes
One of the best family costumes is from Disney and Pixar’s The Incredibles. The main characters are a family of five. You have Mr. Incredible, Elastigirl, Violet, Dash and Jack-Jack. Plus with other great characters like Frozone, Enda and Syndrome you have a lot of costume ideas to choose from for Halloween.
Avengers Assemble
Just like the Incredibles, The Avengers fit well with a small are large family. With a ton of super-heroes or super villains to use from the Marvel universe you and your family will have a lot of choices.
Back To The Future
This past summer my wife and I showed our daughters the Back to the Future trilogy. They loved the movie. If your family hasn’t seen the movies yet maybe you can watch them for the next family movie night. Check out this family’s take on Back to the Future’s Halloween costume. It is very heavy.
We Are Wizards, Harry!
Another great franchise that lends itself very well to the Halloween is Harry Potter. From Harry to Ron to Hermione to Voldemort you and your family have lots of characters to use for trick or treat day. As a parent I can say the parents with the baby as a Mandrake is so money. Plus you got to love the attention to detail with the family that went as the main cast from Harry Potter for Halloween.
Welcome To Jurassic Park
Not only did this family spare no expense when it came to their Halloween costume, but they used their head. They created a wagon to carry their kids with them to go trick-or-treating for when the kids don’t want to walk anymore. Just as Ian Malcolm said, “Life finds a way,” these parents found a way to not have to carry their kids and their candy after a long night of walking around the neighborhood.
