This week for the These Dads Are Doing It Right series I want to share some hilarious books on fatherhood. These books will make you laugh and see all sides of being dad. Make sure you check out these books. You could give these books to a friend you know who is going to be a dad. In addition, if there are any other dads that you think we should check out, leave their name and info in the comment section below.
Hilarious Books On Fatherhood

Confessions of the World’s Best Father – Dave Engledow
This book is merging a Norman Rockwell aesthetic with a darkly comic sensibility. Dave pairs each side-splittingly funny image with a log entry describing the awkward situation. It is no issue since he is the World’s Best Father. Hilarious and heartwarming, Confessions of the World’s Best Father is a celebration of the early years of parenthood. Dave Engledow studied photojournalism at the University of Texas at Austin. He currently lives in the Washington, DC, area.

Man vs. Child: One Dad’s Guide to the Weirdness of Parenting – Doug Moe
Man vs. Child is a funny, fresh take on the parenting guide, written from the dad’s perspective. It’s about the absurdity of being a dad today: from your blissful pre-baby days through when your kid is off at school, probably complaining about you. It’s a companion to help you through the hard times, like when you need something to read on the toilet and your phone is dead.

Being a Dad Is Weird: Lessons in Fatherhood from My Family to Yours – Ben Falcone
This book is a humorous memoir by actor and writer Ben Falcone. He is chronicling his experiences as a father to two daughters with his wife, Melissa McCarthy. In addition he is reflecting on his own unconventional upbringing with his father, Steve Falcone. The book combines funny, relatable stories about the challenges of modern parenting. Plus there are some poignant lessons from his own dad. Ben feels that his dad taught him about love, support, and the importance of being present. It’s a warm, funny, and intimate look at fatherhood.

Dad Is Fat – Jim Gaffigan
Jim Gaffigan never imagined he would have his own kids. But all that changed when he married and found out his wife, Jeannie “is someone who gets pregnant looking at babies.”
Five kids later, the comedian whose riffs on everything from Hot Pockets to Jesus have scored millions of hits on YouTube, started to tweet about the mistakes and victories of his life as a dad. Those tweets struck such a chord that he soon passed the million followers mark. But it turns out 140 characters are not enough to express all the joys and horrors of life with five kids, so he’s now sharing it all in Dad Is Fat.
