Zach Lutz Talks Fatherhood, Playing In The MLB, Youth Sports & More 

Zach Lutz sits down with me to talk about his fatherhood journey. He and I chat about the values he looks to instill into his kids as they grow up. In addition, he shares some of the life lessons that he has learned from his kids. After that we talk about him playing for the New York Mets. He shares the obstacles that got in his way and had to overcome to fulfill his dream of playing in the big leagues. Next we talk about the current state of youth sports and the work he is doing to improve the youth sports landscape. Lastly, we finish the interview with the Fatherhood Quick Five. 

About Zach Lutz

Zach Lutz is an American former professional baseball third baseman. Zach played in Major League Baseball for the New York Mets. He was drafted by the Mets in the 5th round of the 2007 MLB Draft. He played college ball at Alvernia University. Lutz overcame a series of minor league injuries to debut in the majors in 2012. He played 22 total MLB games across the 2012 and 2013 seasons. Currently, he serves as the Director of Player Development and Teams at the All-Star Sports Academy in Pennsylvania, where he has earned viral recognition for advocating accountability and independence in youth sports coaching.
