This week for the These Dads Are Doing It Right Series I am putting the spotlight on dads who have wrote some fantastic children’s books that have great messages. There are a few you might have heard of already and some you might not have yet. This is why I wanted to put a list of great dads who are also awesome authors. Vernon Gibbs – When Good Fruit Goes Bad
Vernon is a fantastic dad! He is a stay-at-home dad living in New Jersey with his wife and three kids. He loves to blog, draw, write, cook and play the occasional PS4 video game when his kids are sleeping and occasionally make fun video with them for You Tube. You can see his passion for writing and drawing with his new book, When Good Fruit Goes Bad that he worked on with Stephen Gray. It is a 36-page fully illustrated children’s book about a grocery store owner named Hank and how he has to overcome some really bad fruit who are taking over his store and are making a fruity mess! This fun and fully illustrated story has lessons on eating healthy and creating less waste, but more importantly, it’s about finding your value no matter how many bumps and bruises you might have. Stephen Lomp – Papasaurus
Stephan Lomp studied visual communications and has been a freelance illustrator since 1996. He started his children’s book career by publishing books by other authors in Germany. Michael Gordon – Daddy’s Little Girl – Childrens book about a Cute Girl and her Superhero Dad
Michael Gordon is the talented author of over fifty highly rated children’s books. Some of those include the popular Sleep Tight, Little Monster, and the Animal Bedtime and the award winning Elephants Can Not Sleep and Daddy’s Little Girl. The excellent illustrations are by the artists of Kids Book Press. Michael’s goal is to create books that are engaging, funny, and inspirational for children of all ages and their parents.
Gregory E. Lang – Why a Daughter Needs a Dad
Gregory E. Lang is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author. He has sold over 2 million copies of his books. Some of them include Daddy’s Little Girl, Why a Daughter Needs a Dad, and Why a Daughter Needs a Mom. He has a Ph.D. in child and family development . He lives in Atlanta with his wife, Jill, and their two daughters, Meagan and Linley. This picture book is touching story to show a child all the ways her father will help her grow. It helps to remind her of the special bond only she can have with dad. Why a Daughter Needs a Dad is the perfect story to connect father and daughter together.

My book chronicles how my wife and I raised our now adult daughters to be confident and successful young women. We talk about raising mentally, emotionally and spiritually healthy girls.
