A new week means a new post for Collector of the Week here at The Art of Fatherhood. As a fellow geek and collector of all things Pop Culture I wanted to showcase some cool collections that dads share in our community. We love to see this passion in what people collect. In addition, we talk about the latest movies, sports memorabilia, a Pittsburgh Penguins card collection and video games that we are enjoying at the moment.
This Week’s Collector – Pittsburgh Penguins Card Collection
This week’s collector is from Brent. He is sharing his Pittsburgh Penguins card collection.
Thank you, Art for sharing part of my hockey card collection. My favorite team is the Pittsburgh Penguins. I grew up watching them and cheering on Mario Lemieux and got really excited when Sidney Crosby joined the team. A few years into watching the NHL, I started collecting hockey cards. My friends and I would trade and they new I was a sucker for any Penguins cards. I started becoming more aware of what cards not to just trade to my friends just for Pittsburgh cards. Now, my kids enjoy looking at my card collection. Once they get older I am guessing they will want to start their own collection.
Thanks for sharing your collection Brent. Love the passion you have for hockey.
Whatcha Got?
It can be comic books, bottle caps, records, helmets or whatever you are into! I want to see what your passion is and why you started up that collection. For me, I believe that in each collection lies a better story. I want to share your story! Feel free to reach out to me and share your collection. In addition, if you enjoyed this post check out another Collector of the Week article.
