This week for the These Dads Are Doing It Right series I am putting the spotlight on great MLB dad and son duos. These dads and sons have made a name for themselves in the big leagues. In addition, if there are any other dads that you think we should check out, leave their name and info in the comment section below.

Ken Griffey Sr. and Jr.
There have been many father and son duos in professional sports, but what the Griffeys have done by playing together is incredible. Plus to add more shine to this story, they made history. On Sept. 14, 1990, Ken Griffey Jr. and Ken Griffey Sr. made history. They became the first father-son duo to hit back-to-back home runs in a game against the California Angels. So beyond them both making it to the professional level, it is amazing to see this father and son duo hit back to back homers.

Vladimir Guerrero Sr. and Jr.
Vladimir Guerrero Sr. is a Hall of Fame baseball player known for his powerful hitting, high batting average, and 2004 MVP award. His son, Vladimir Guerrero Jr., is a superstar player for the Toronto Blue Jays. He is carrying on the family legacy with a similar hitting style and multiple All-Star selections. The father-son duo is historic. They were the first to each hit a postseason grand slam. In addition, they share honors like All-Star Game MVP and Home Run Derby winner.

Felipe and Moises Alou
Felipe and Moises Alou are both prominent Major League Baseball players from a famous baseball family. Plus, Felipe was a standout player and manager, while Moises was an All-Star player. Felipe was the first Dominican-born player and manager in MLB. In addition along with his brothers Matty and Jesús, they formed the first all-brother outfield. Moises had a long career, earning All-Star nods and a reputation as a powerful hitter.

The Boone Family
The Boone family is a prominent baseball family that includes patriarch Ray Boone, his son Bob Boone, and grandsons Bret and Aaron Boone. They are the first three-generation Major League Baseball family and have combined for 5,890 hits, 634 home runs, 3,139 RBIs, 10 All-Star selections, and 11 Gold Gloves.
