This week’s The Clone Wars episode called Unfinished Business treats us to a whole lot of action, nods to the prequels and original trilogy. In Episode 704, Unfinished Business while Jedi Mace Windu and Obi-Wan Kenobi lead an attack against the Separatist forces on Anaxes, the Bad Batch and Anakin Skywalker infiltrate an enemy starship to ensure a Republic victory. Captain Rex and Echo are alongside the Bad Batch and Anakin as well.
Tired Of Fighting
The Clone Wars have been raging on for some time now. Both sides are looking for the light at the end of the tunnel. In the clip below you even see Mace Windu ask the battle droids to peacefully surrender. They don’t, but you see Mace looking for another way. His plea even surprises Obi-Wan. They say doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results is the definition of insanity. War tends to mess with people’s mind. It is good to see Mace still have his wits even after years of fighting.
To Trust Or Not To Trust
The Bad Batch get a lot of side eye from the “reg” clone troopers, but in this episode the Bad Batch wonder if Echo has any lingering effects from being held captive by the Separatists. They are going into this mission a bit skeptical and hope their concerns turn out to be wrong. Echo was giving Admiral Trench and his army tactical insights on how the clone troopers and the Republic plan for battle. So you can see why they might be worried about where Echo pledges his allegiance.
Unfinished Business
In this episode you will see a few characters tie up loose ends either from this season of The Clone Wars or past seasons. One is sad to see, but you know it is the right move. One was very therapeutic to witness, but it gave a glimpse into the future for one character’s path. Like I said last week this series is going to play with all of our emotions and I am both excited and nervous to see how Dave Filoni and his team finish out this season!
