About Nick Mangold
Nick Mangold is a loving father, barbecue enthusiast, and former professional football player. A Dayton, Ohio native, Nick began his football career at The Ohio State University. That is where he was a three-year starter at Center. He claimed an NCAA National Championship with the Buckeyes in 2002. Nick was an NFL first-round draft pick in 2006, where he continued his career with the New York Jets. With the Jets, Nick was a seven-time Pro Bowl selection. People feel he is one of the all-time best NFL centers.
Nick is known as a foodie who cleverly likes putting twists on his favorite foods. He surprised his teammates and friends with his creations. His habitual tinkering led the development of his small batch BBQ sauce. It was a creation of three separate sauces. It turned into one multi- layered palette of taste profiles, ideal for slathering, grilling or dipping. His friends have raved about it for years.
Once Nick finished his football career gently perfected the combinations of his recipe’s ingredients. Using the cores of pure maple syrup, vinegars, and sriracha he was ready. He made another shotgun snap. This time into the world of entrepreneurship. It was with the release of his initial two flavors: Sweet-Tangy and Whole Lot O’ Heat – Spicy.

It’s clear being in a team mentality for so long has helped Nick navigate his 4 children. Some teammates get along great, others not so much. I like how he includes his kids in his ventures and exposes them to so much, sounds like a cool guy all around.
I definitely agree Joseph. He is all about fatherhood and cares about his family! Thanks for checking out the interview.
