These duos have made some pretty cool news of their own as the kids followed in their dads footsteps in broadcast journalism. Lester and Stefan Holt
Lester and Stefan Holt both worked for NBC News. This father-son anchor duo shares a prominent journalism legacy at NBC. Lester Holt is the long-running anchor of NBC Nightly News. His son, Stefan Holt, has built a successful journalism career of his own, anchoring for NBC’s WNBC in New York. They did work together from time to time.
John and Natalie Kucko
This father-daughter co-anchor team made headlines when Natalie joined her broadcasting legend dad, John, on the anchor desk at WROC-TV in Rochester, New York. Natalie joined WROC-TV in June 2022 to host the 4:00 PM newscast directly alongside her father. John spent decades as a celebrated local TV sports anchor and news personality in Western New York. He officially retired from his daily anchor role at Channel 8 in September 2023. In addition, Natalie continues to build her career as a primary anchor and reporter at WROC-TV.
Ronnie and Jericka Duncan
Ronnie and Jericka Duncan are a cross-generational family act. For Ronnie, he served as a sports anchor for WWJ Newsradio and CBS News Detroit. His daughter Jericka is a prominent national correspondent for CBS News and weekend anchor. Ronnie was was inducted into the American Basketball Hall of Fame for his extensive career contributions to sports broadcasting. Jericka has also received some high accolades as well. She has received multiple prestigious Edward R. Murrow Awards and was recently inducted into the Buffalo Broadcasters Hall of Fame.
Art and Jacob Rascon
Art and Jacob Rascon are a prominent father-son duo in American broadcast journalism. Therefore they have been recognized for their major impact on the Houston television news market. They made history on January 3, 2022, when they became the first father-and-son duo to co-anchor a major market television newscast together. In addition, this unique broadcast marked Art’s final day on the air and Jacob’s very first day at the exact same station.
