A new week means a new post for Collector of the Week here at The Art of Fatherhood. As a fellow geek and collector of all things Pop Culture I wanted to showcase some cool collections that dads share in our community. We love to see this passion in what people collect. In addition, we talk about the latest movies, sports memorabilia, a LEGO Mini-figure collection and video games that we are enjoying at the moment.
This Week’s Collector – LEGO Mini-figure Collection
This week’s collector is from Danny. Danny’s son got a mini-figure bag for his birthday. From that present sparked a fun LEGO hunt to complete the set.
My son, Trevor got a LEGO mini-figure bag as part of a birthday present. He got the corn guy and laughed really hard when he got that figure. We started looking at the sheet with the other figures from that series. He asked if we could get the whole set. I thought it would be a fun way to bond. So we went to stories around our town to collect the whole set. We got the Hot Dog Vendor, Elf Maiden, Butterfly Girl, Circus Strongman, Veterinarian, Battle Dwarf, Dance Instructor, Gourmet Chef, Connoisseur, Corn Cob Guy, Roman Gladiator, Rocket Boy, Pro Surfer, Retro Space Hero and the Yuppie, and the Pirate. We shared laughs the whole time on our collecting mission.
Thanks for sharing your story Danny. Your story is awesome. Love that you and your son were on a LEGO collecting mission.
Whatcha Got?
It can be comic books, bottle caps, records, helmets or whatever you are into! I want to see what your passion is and why you started up that collection. For me, I believe that in each collection lies a better story. I want to share your story! Feel free to reach out to me and share your collection. In addition, if you enjoyed this post check out another Collector of the Week article.
I’ve always thought LEGO mini-figs were cool, especially the really unique, fun ones. Great collection!!
Same. I like seeing each set when they come out!
