This week for the These Dads Are Doing It Right series I want to put the spotlight on dancing dads. These fathers are cutting the rug in a solo performance or with others. No matter the dance these dads are putting a smile on your face. In addition, if there are any other dads that you think we should check out leave their name and info in the comment section below.

UCF Dance Dads
A group of dance dads have become honorary members of the University of Central Florida dance team. They become honor members after joining their daughters in earlier this year. The performance was shared on the college’s social media pages. As you would imagine the video went viral. UCF Dance Team Coach Joyce Winter said that when she took over as the team’s coach four years ago, she debated keeping the “Dance Dads” tradition going. She is glad she did because of all the fun everyone is having from these dances.
Dancing Dads
Dancing Dads is a program offered by Gotta Dance. It is a dance studio in New Jersey. Dancing Dads began rehearsing in April and May on Friday evenings. After just a few short weeks of rehearsal, the Dads are ready to make their debut at the concert. This year Gotta Dance had over 170 dads, granddads and uncles participating! These dads and this program is a way that build a great community with dads and their kids.
The Outta Puff Daddys
The Outta Puff Daddys are a group of middle-aged dads who have gone viral on social media for their street dancing. Now the unlikely band of brothers performs at events to raise mental health awareness. They first met in 2012 after taking our own kids to street dance lessons and we’ve been dancing ever since. As a group of men, their camaraderie and friendship goes far beyond just dancing. They have supported each other through various personal tragedies and challenges. In addition, their bond provides a real lifeline for their own mental wellness. Plus, they break through all stereotypes surrounding traditional masculinity, encouraging others to talk openly about their mental health.
