These Dads Are Doing It Right – Part 146 – Dads That Cook For A Purpose 

This week for the These Dads Are Doing It Right series I wanted to share with you a few dads that cook for a purpose. These dads really care their community and want to help in a way they feel can be a big impact to their community. Jonathan Jones – Cooking For A Purpose 

Born in Nebraska and raised in Phoenix, AZ Jonathan Jones has always been a student of the BBQ game. Since 2015, “Jonathan BBQ” has been combining his love for barbecue and content production. With his “Your Grill, Your Rules” mantra, Jones looks to inspire everyday people to get out and cook for their family, friends and community. On his website, he states, “Being a husband & father is the greatest joy of my life. I pride myself on exemplifying faith, family, integrity and community.” With the funding he’s received and the help of his staff and volunteers, Jones has been able to feed over 1,000 people with quarterly “cooks” throughout the downtown Phoenix area. Well done Jonathan. 

Jason Glover – Dads That Cook 

Jason Glovers says he is not a professional chef. He grew up in a large Greek and German family. He would watch his Mom and Grandma in the kitchen at a young age. In addition he started cooking with them and he never stopped! When he met his wife and they started a family together, he knew it was his calling to be the dude in the kitchen making it happen His passion is to help inspire and learn from other dads that love to cook. Darren W Carter – Carter’s BBQ

Carter’s BBQ came out of the passion of doing what you love. Owner Darren W. Carter has spent countless hours perfecting his love for grilling and taking the craft to the next level. He and his wife, Theresa, strive to bring you the best BBQ prepared with the love of what they do! Darren does a lot of fundraising for different organizations. Darren has a heart of gold and looks to help others with his cooking and heart! Check him out at his website. 

John Dillion Flanagan – BBQ Dad 

John does not consider himself the Father of BBQ. Yet he does feel like he is the Official Father figure of BBQ and competition cooking scene. His YouTube channel is all about cooking, grilling, and smoking simple, easy, and quick meals. In addition he will smoke, bake, sear, grill, and dehydrate. He has purchased and used every grill known to man from gas, charcoal, offset smokers, lump charcoal kamodo grills and many others. Check out his YouTube channel here.
